I’m Tom Cooke, a business and life coach based in Leeds, working with self-employed business owners, founders and leaders across the UK.
Before becoming a coach, I started my career as a Quantity Surveyor, overseeing the financial management of multi-million-pound construction projects.
That gave me a strong commercial background in performance, decision-making, risk and business results.
Over the past 7 years, I’ve worked with more than 2,000 business owners and self-employed professionals, helping them improve their mindset, sharpen their thinking and take clearer action towards better results.
My work combines business coaching, life coaching, mentoring, training and deep personal development. It is designed for people who know they are capable of more but feel stuck, behind, inconsistent or held back.
Today, my focus is helping self-employed people, founders and leaders become clearer, more confident and more consistent, so they can make better decisions, stop avoiding the actions that matter, increase their income and create more freedom in how they work and live.
I help self-employed business owners and founders who have been in business a few years. They already have had some success and made money but feel stuck at the next level, inconsistent income, lack of structure, overthinking decisions, and knowing they should be further ahead than they are. Often they feel frustrated at themselves because they know they can do more but they're holding themselves back.
Through coaching I help self-employed business owners and founders get clear, build confidence, improve habits and routines, strengthen their mindset, have more certainty, take effective action, and grow the business with more structure, accountability and strategy.
It's both. I help you with the practical side of business growth, but also with the internal patterns that affect confidence, consistency, decision-making and performance.
That is exactly where many business owners get stuck. The issue is often not a lack of information, but hesitation, overthinking, inconsistency, or not applying the right things properly and consistently.
A lot of coaching stays at the surface level, focusing on quick wins or general advice. I focus on the deeper work. That means understanding the patterns, beliefs, and behaviours that are actually holding you back, and helping you change them. Alongside that, we still work on the practical side of growing your business. This combination is what creates real, lasting progress rather than short-term motivation.
The best next step is to book a call. We can look at where you are now, where you want to get to, and whether working together would be the right fit.
